A few days ago, the special exhibition "Over-watch and Renascence - Protection and Development of Traditional Villages in Hangzhou" got opened officially. Loujiata Village in Louta Town and Datangwu New Village in Jinhua Town, as representatives of state-designated traditional villages, made a splendid appearance, presenting to the citizens the unique charm and new development look of the traditional villages in Xiaoshan.  

As an important foundation of the history and culture for Xiaoshan, these traditional villages have preserved a large number of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties as well as ancient folk customs, witnessing the thousand-year development and changes of Xiaoshan.  

It is known that currently our district has successfully created 3 national-level traditional villages, 2 provincial-level ones, and 2 municipal-level ones. The 3 national-level traditional villages refer to Dongshan Village in Heshang Town, Loujiata Village in Louta Town, and Datangwu New Village in Jinhua Town.
