On July 21st, Sun Xudong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Xiaoshan District Committee, emphasized during his investigation on consumption transformation and upgrading to deeply implement the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on vigorously boosting consumption and the work requirements of the provincial and municipal levels, grasp consumption trends, actively have exploration and innovation, focus on new scenarios and new business forms, fully stimulate consumption potentials, and create consumption tipping points and growth points with all efforts to inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy. Zhu Guojun, a district leader, participated in the investigation.  

Sun Xudong pointed out during his investigation that consumption transformation and upgrading  is an important engine for promoting high-quality economy development. We should seize the opportunities of the "post-Asian Games" era, take innovation leadership, cultural empowerment, and digital drive as the main lines, fully build immersive and experiential new consumption scenarios and cultivate new consumption business forms with regional characteristics. We should deeply explore the cultural deposits of Xiaoshan, organically integrate the Song Dynasty culture, trendy entertainment economy and the Asian Games legacies, and continuously upgrade the cultural connotation and brand value of consumption, so as to build Xiaoshan as a vibrant city that young people yearn for and where consumption is active.
