Recently, the list of the 3rd batch of "Zhejiang Province Millennium Ancient Town (Ancient Village) Place Name Cultural Heritage" was announced, including Guali Town. 

From the Song Dynasty to contemporary times, although it has experienced changes from "Guali Lane" and "Guali Village" to "Guali Township" and then to "Guali Town", "Guali" as a proper name has always been consistent. In the history of changes, the place name of Guali and the region it represents has maintained a stable continuity, witnessing the thousand-year-old cultural accumulation on this land. Changxiang Village and Dayi Village, the two thousand-year-old villages within the town, are vivid examples for the long history of Guali.
