Heshang Town once served as the command center for Xiaoshan Anti-Japanese War during which Xiaoshan County Government once relocated to Fengwu Village, Heshang Town for eluding from the flames of war; here it became the concentrated mopping-up place of Japanese invaders. Heshang is going to build the Anti-Japanese War memorial field, at present the first Anti-Japanese War memorial hall has been opened in Xiaoshan,including The Name Wall of Sacrificial Officers and Soldiers, The Victory Monument of Anti-Japanese War, and Anti-Japanese War Sculptures etc., has recorded the Anti-Japanese War history of Xiaoshan, is available for later generations for visits, study and condolences to remember the history and it is an integrated Anti-Japanese War culture publicity and education base.
