TRAFFIC NETWORK

The marriage of traffic and city has remoulded the temperament of a city and can further promote the upgrade of a region. Xiaoshan in the post G20 Summit and pre-Asian Games strategic opportunity period realizes the rapid leap for the city development through opening the traffic engine.

 

Xiaoshan District makes utmost efforts to win the decisive battle of the 22688 traffic construction, has planned to make a total investment in over 200 billion Yuan to build the five-in-one modernized solid traffic network in terms of the airport, G-series high-speed train, metro, expressway and main trunk road network etc. and make Xiaoshan own the comprehensive traffic network that can reach to the sky, get into the earth, pass through mountains and get across rivers, upgrading Xiaoshan urban traffic level all around. 

Increase five rail transit lines to broaden the city backbone.

 

By 2020, the finished and operated railway lines will increase from two to seven within the area of Xiaoshan, increasing five rail transit lines; with the gradual extension of metro lines, the melted development of Xiaoshan with the main urban area of Hangzhou will be greatly accelerated. 

Enhance regional transit capacity and build the half hour traffic circle.

 

With the thinking expansion in the east, extension in the south, connection in the west, optimization in the north and smoothness inside, Xiaoshan will make an investment in almost 50 billion Yuan in three years to increase 134.2km long urban roads and realize the eight vertical and fourteen crosswise roads backbone road network in the urban area;  in the periphery of the urban area, the 115km long main trunk roads will be newly built, and the 136km long main trunk roads will be upgraded, forming a main trunk road network in a mileage of 707km for the whole district.

The City Ring Expressway

Hangzhou metropolitan economy circle ring expressway: within Xiaoshan it is the City Ring Expressway West Complex Line which passes by Louta Town, is 7km long and is under construction.


Hangzhou City Group Ring Expressway(Middle Ring): within Xiaoshan it is composed of two sections as the east and south ones. The east section starts from the crossing of Binjiang Road II and Great Jiangdong Area and extends to the crossing of Yaqian Town National Highway 104 and Shaoxing, is about 19.3km long and is planned to start construction by subsections in 2019. The south section connects with Fuyang in the west, connects Keqiao, Shaoxing in the east, extends about 20.8km long and is planned to start construction by subsections in 2019.

 


The Expressway Network

It includes the reconstruction project of Shidai Avenue, Fengqing Avenue-- Linpu Highway, Tongcheng Avenue, the reconstruction project of the provincial highway east complex line, the reconstruction project of Red Line 15, Xiaoshan Airport East Road, Caihong Highway and the lifting project of Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway.

 

 

The Main Trunk Road Network

It is composed of Boao Road, Xincheng Road, Xinjie Avenue, Binjiang Road I, Binjiang Road II, South Road III, the reconstruction project of the provincial highway and the eastward extension project of Yida Road (the southern transportation passageway).
